Common questions and answers about using DogsVilla for your kennel.

Account & Setup

How long does setup take?

Most kennels are up and running in 5–10 minutes. Sign up, set your password, and you're in. The optional setup wizard helps you configure business hours, services, and branding.

Can I import existing customer data?

Not yet through the UI, but contact support@dogsvilla.com and we'll help you bulk-import from a spreadsheet.

What if I forgot my password?

Click "Forgot Password" on the login page. You'll receive a reset link via email.

Services & Modules

Can I customize service pricing?

Yes. Go to Settings > Pricing to set prices by service type, category, and dog size. Grooming services have their own catalog in Services > Grooming with per-size pricing.

Can customers book without staff approval?

Customer bookings come in as "Pending" status. Staff must confirm them before they become active. This prevents overbooking.

Do I need all modules enabled?

No. Enable only what you offer. If you only do boarding and grooming, disable the others in Settings > Modules.

Payments

Does DogsVilla take a cut of my revenue?

No. Payments go directly to your Razorpay account. DogsVilla only charges the monthly subscription fee for Pro.

What payment methods do customers have?

Through Razorpay, customers can pay via UPI, credit/debit cards, net banking, wallets (Paytm, PhonePe), and EMI options.

Can I issue refunds?

Yes. From any payment record, you can initiate a full or partial refund which processes through Razorpay.

Billing

What happens if my Pro subscription payment fails?

Razorpay will retry the payment. If it remains unpaid for 7 days, your account is temporarily suspended (read-only). Once payment is recovered, full access is restored immediately.

Can I switch from yearly to monthly?

Cancel your yearly subscription (it stays active until the end of the year), then re-subscribe on a monthly basis when it expires.

Data & Security

Is my data isolated from other kennels?

Absolutely. Each kennel's data is completely isolated using database-level Row Level Security. No kennel can see another kennel's data, ever.

Can I export my data?

Contact support for a data export. We're working on a self-service export feature.

Where is data stored?

All data is stored on AWS infrastructure in Mumbai (ap-south-1) region, compliant with Indian data localization requirements.
