Meet Akram Khan

The man thousands of pet parents trust with their family members — and the founder who turned his love for animals into a growing pet care movement in Central India.

He lives by the belief

“The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why. For me, that why had four legs, a wagging tail, and the ability to change lives.”

Built from rescue work, hands-on experience, and a promise to treat every pet like family.

From Corporate Success to Finding His Why

A journey shaped by business, rescue work, and real-life animal care.

Before Dogsvilla — diverse professional experience across retail, hospitality, entertainment, media, recreation, and education, plus 14+ years in senior management roles spanning operations, business development, and team leadership.

Each industry left a lesson that later shaped Dogsvilla: systems, guest experience, communication, enrichment, mentorship, and trust.

Dogsvilla was not created to be just another place where pets are boarded. It was created from a much bigger idea:

What if everything a pet and its family need could be brought together under one trusted banner?

From care and training to grooming, food, wellness, recreation, adoption, rescue, education, and pet products — Dogsvilla is building an ecosystem where different parts of the pet journey come together.

The Beginning

Dogsvilla started with an online community and rescue work, not a business plan — rescuing animals nobody wanted, supporting families in crisis, solving behaviour issues, responding to emergencies, fostering abandoned puppies and kittens, and finding homes for pets that had been forgotten.

Global Learning

Akram pursued a bachelor's degree in Business Administration in Australia, completed a Diploma in Canine & Feline Behaviour from Australia, trained under world-champion dog trainers, and later completed a postgraduate degree in Marketing in the United Kingdom.

Today

Those experiences turned Dogsvilla from a part-time project into one of Central India's most recognized pet care brands. The underlying idea was validated early: Dogsvilla was selected among the top 100 out of 16,000 entries at the “Power of Idea” competition by IIM Ahmedabad.

Your Pet Is Not “Just a Pet”

If you're leaving your pet with someone, you should know who they are.

Hi, I'm Akram Khan. I know what it feels like to leave a member of your family in someone else's care — wondering whether they'll eat properly, whether they'll be scared, whether someone will notice if they're anxious, and whether they'll be safe.

Because if it were my dog or cat, I'd ask the exact same questions.

That's why Dogsvilla was never built to be just another boarding facility in Indore. It was built to become your pet's second home.

“This isn't just another dog. This isn't just another cat. This is someone's baby. And we never forget that.”
