Lauki is common in Indian homes because it is light, watery, and often used in sabzi, dal, kofta, soup, or khichdi. For dogs, plain cooked lauki can be a gentle vegetable add-on, but typical lauki sabzi is usually not suitable because of masala and tadka.

How to Feed It Safely

• Taste-check before cooking; discard if bitter.

• Mix a small amount with plain rice, curd, or boiled chicken if appropriate.

How Much Can You Give?
