Dog Training Terms & Conditions

By enrolling a dog in training services at Dogsvilla, the owner agrees to the following Terms & Conditions.

1. Health & Vaccination Requirements

  • All dogs must be medically fit for training before admission.
  • Owners must disclose all relevant medical and behavioural information including injuries, surgeries, allergies, medications, aggression history, anxiety, fears, bite history, or neurological conditions.
  • Vaccination is mandatory/recommended for all dogs attending training, including Rabies, DHPPi, Leptospirosis, and Kennel Cough.
  • Dogs with contagious illness, severe skin infections, ticks/fleas infestation, vomiting, diarrhoea, or weakness may be refused training.
  • Female dogs in heat may not be allowed in group sessions or facility activities for safety reasons.

2. Training Methods & Expectations

  • Dogsvilla uses balanced, structured, reward-based, and behaviour-focused training methods depending on the dog's temperament and training goals.
  • Training results vary depending on breed, genetics, age, consistency, temperament, health, environment, and owner participation.
  • Dogsvilla does not guarantee 100% identical results for every dog.
  • Owners understand that dog training is a gradual process requiring consistency and follow-through at home.
  • Some behavioural issues may require extended training duration beyond initial estimates.

3. Aggressive & Behavioural Cases

  • Owners must disclose any history of aggression towards humans, dogs, children, or other animals.
  • Dogsvilla specialises in handling difficult, anxious, fearful, and aggressive dogs; however, safety remains the highest priority.
  • Additional handling charges may apply for severe aggression or specialised behavioural rehabilitation cases.
  • Dogsvilla reserves the right to stop or discontinue training if a dog becomes unsafe to handle.
  • Training equipment such as muzzles, long lines, crates, or safety tools may be used when required for safety and control.

4. Board & Train / Residential Training

  • Dogs enrolled in residential training programs stay under Dogsvilla's supervision during the training period.
  • Daily routines may include obedience work, socialisation, exercise, structured rest, handling exercises, and controlled exposure training.
  • Owners understand that dogs may experience temporary adjustment stress when entering a new environment.
  • Dogsvilla shall not be held responsible for temporary behavioural regression immediately after returning home if owners fail to continue handling guidelines.

5. Training Risks & Liability

  • Dog training involves physical activity, environmental exposure, and behavioural correction work.
  • Minor risks may include scratches, stress, excitement-related injuries, muscle soreness, or accidental play-related incidents.
  • Dogsvilla shall not be held responsible for injuries or complications arising from undisclosed medical or behavioural conditions.
  • In case of medical emergency, Dogsvilla may contact a veterinarian. Veterinary expenses shall be borne by the owner.
  • Dogsvilla is authorised to seek emergency veterinary treatment if the owner is unreachable.

6. Owner Participation & Follow-Up

  • Owners may be required to attend handover or transfer sessions to learn handling methods and commands.
  • Training success depends heavily on owner consistency after completion of the program.
  • Dogsvilla is not responsible for behavioural relapse caused by inconsistent handling, lack of follow-up, or environmental changes after training.
  • Owners are encouraged to follow all trainer instructions carefully.

7. Equipment & Personal Belongings

  • Owners may be required to provide suitable collars, leashes, harnesses, muzzles, toys, or food depending on the program selected.
  • Dogsvilla is not responsible for damage, chewing, or loss of personal belongings brought for the dog.
  • Only approved equipment may be used during training sessions.

8. Payment, Cancellation & Refund Policy

  • Full or partial advance payment may be required before starting training.
  • Training fees are non-refundable once the training program has started unless approved by management.
  • Missed sessions by owners may not be adjustable or refundable.
  • Behavioural training timelines may vary depending on the dog's progress.
  • Promotional offers and discounts are non-transferable unless specified otherwise.

9. Photography & Media Consent

  • Dogsvilla may capture photographs or videos during training for social media, educational content, marketing, progress updates, or demonstrations.
  • Owners who do not wish their pet to appear in media must inform Dogsvilla in writing before training begins.

10. Safety & Facility Rules

  • Dogs must arrive on leash or in secure carriers.
  • Owners are requested not to interfere during active training sessions unless instructed by trainers.
  • CCTV-monitored premises are maintained for operational transparency and safety.
  • Dogsvilla reserves the right to separate dogs during group activities for safety purposes.

11. Right to Refuse or Discontinue Training

Dogsvilla reserves the right to refuse or discontinue training services for unsafe behaviour, contagious illness, repeated policy violations, abusive owner behaviour, non-payment issues, or medically unfit dogs.

12. Owner Declaration

By enrolling in Dogsvilla training services, the owner confirms that all information provided is true and complete, the dog is medically fit for training, they understand the risks involved in training environments, they authorise Dogsvilla staff to professionally handle the dog, and they agree to all terms and conditions mentioned above.
